Avast SafeZone (sometimes also misspelled as Safe Zone) is the free browser from Avast based on Opera engine. It comes with all Avast antivirus versions (Free Antivirus, Pro Antivirus, Internet Security and Premier) and it’s automatically installed without a user’s consent.
Another enormous additional is a military-review information shredder, which can wipe critical records, archives and other individual information, and guarantee there's no way they can be recuperated. It is worth pointing out once again that Avast no longer has this flaw after version 2016.11.1.2253., but if you have an older version you should either immediately update or uninstall the entire feature.

This is just me sharing some information.
So yeah, just noticed this shortcut appear out of nowhere on my desktop.
Following it back to it's folder - 'SZBrowser' subfolder in the main Avast install directory - I think it's had 'the stuff' on my machine for a couple of weeks (just from looking at dates and things) and only just decided to install.
Needless to say, I don't much appreciate this.
I've quite happily copped the increase in notifications about particular sales, and the inserting a signature into my e-mails wasn't particularly annoying (as I promptly disabled it), but this - installing something without telling me - isn't cool at all.
